This Turkish lad from London with a contemporary sound all of his own is poised to make an impact on the music scene. Drawing his influences from the likes of Stevie Wonder and Prince, Jay writes and delivers his music with a musical depth which belies his age.
He is a highly respected musician on both sides of the Atlantic, having played and performed extensively in the UK, continental Europe and the USA, supporting artists like James Brown, Beverley Knight, Joycelyn Brown, Skin and Black Eyed Peas.
He is signed to EMI Publishing (signed personally by Peter Ende, head of EMI Publishing Europe) and in 2005 signed a multi-album deal with Songphonic Records.
Jay-Lal is equally at home in the studio and performing live in front of audiences of 10,000+ people. In between his gruelling gig schedule Jay is busy finalising his debut album, scheduled to be released within the next few months.

BIOGRAPHY
As well as being a very talented musician and a spiritual human being, Jay-Lal is an accomplished sportsman, having become a national Skate Board Champion at a very young age.
However, beating in his heart was a deeper passion. So at the age of 16, he gave up sports to become a professional musician. He won a coveted scholarship to the Rotterdam Conservatoire of Music and left home to study music in Holland.
His desire to attain even higher standards then led him to America where he immersed himself in the music scene in New York.
On his return to Europe Jay rapidly established himself in London. He became a well respected singer, songwriter and producer, working as a top session musician as well as working on productions for major companies like Coca Cola. He also toured extensively with his band Kangroove.
Jay-Lal's first big break came when he was signed personally by Peter Ende (head of EMI Publishing Europe) which led to a production deal with the legendary producer and studio owner Franz Plasa.
In the summer of 2005, Jay met Osman Kent, CEO of Songphonic Records. The two connected instantly and a few weeks later, while the two were sailing in the Med, he signed to Songphonic Records for a worldwide recording and production deal.
